I’ve had numerous PS2 controllers and most often the controller just goes haywire. The transparent blue & gray ones are far worse. But both of my satin ones (one that came with system and this one by itself) started glitching in less than 6 months of usage.
Basically the screen just starts clicking like the buttons are stuck or something. You can’t select on anything. If you need a controller usually wireless ones work better, but they too can wear out quickly. Sony makes a nice PS2, but they sure make unreliable controllers for the PS2. You are lucky to get a year’s use of them without something going wrong. Especially when you can’t zoom in anymore on Battlefront for example or the highlighter keeps scrolling down in NCAA football.
Unfortunately I need to replace these controllers every year because of something with the mechanics. Also, they are not shock proof.

It was so easy to order this product and I got it at the door breaker price at most stores and got free shipping. I didn’t have to fight the crowds and received it in a few days. Awesome!!
